Alzheimer's & Memory Care
Our fresh approach to providing care for people with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of memory impairment is based on achieving what we call “pleasant days.” Our memory care neighbourhoods are specially designed, safe and stimulating environments where we can begin to understand the stories and details of an individual’s life. This permits us to create meaningful everyday activities that give residents a sense of purpose.

Prior to a senior’s stay with us, members of our qualified team meet with them and their family to conduct a thorough assessment to help us determine the appropriate services and care they need. We understand that each resident is an individual with unique needs and preferences. For that reason, we meet with each resident and their family to conduct an assessment—prior to move-in and at regular intervals after move-in—so we can understand exactly what is needed for assistance and support in the following areas. Our resident-centered approach to care is guided by the Sunrise Individualized Service Plan (ISP), a comprehensive and customized program of care and service for each resident. The Sunrise team meets with the resident, their family and others to build an ISP based on the resident’s interests, needs and wishes.
